About the position

Due to high demand, we are currently seeking primary school teachers to support a number of schools in the Merthyr area and both Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.

Applicants require

  • An enhanced DBS check which is subscribed to the update service or be willing to undergo one with Valley Education Services Ltd.
  • Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • Be able to provide details of two referees
  • Hold QTS Status (B(Ed), PGCE)

Location: Blaenau Gwent

We are currently seeking SEN Learning Support Assistants to support a cluster of schools in Blaenau Gwent. The ideal candidate would be trained or have experience in the following:

Team Teach, PECS, TEACH, Pupil Schedules, Makaton, Autism Awareness & Sign Along.

About the position

Suitable candidates must hold a qualified teacher status (QTS) and we welcome both experienced applicants as well as newly qualified (NQT’s) candidates to the role and both are welcome to register for work with us.

The Role - What is expected of you?

  • To plan, prepare and deliver your chosen specialism in line with the school curriculum.
  •  To motivate and inspire the pupils within the classroom to achieve knowledge.
  • To manage the class within the school policy guidelines.
  • To record each pupils development journey and meet the requirements of the assessment and learning exam board.
  • To have willingness to promote learning within the classroom
  • To remain up to date with educational developments and changes whilst undertaking the role.
  • To liaise with other staff members, SMT and parents alike in the development of the pupils.
